During our college years, five friends dreamed of a healthy and sustainable future as we noticed that not only students but also our loved ones were struggling with chronic diseases like obesity, diabetes, and heart problems due to unhealthy eating habits. We observed that rushed meals in cafeterias and fast-food options often lacked the essential nutritional balance needed for well-being, prompting us to question why, even in an era of advanced science and technology, these health issues persisted. Inspired by the heart-wrenching stories of illness around us, we decided to channel our passion for healthy cuisine into researching and experimenting with recipes that were both delicious and nutritionally sound. In the shared kitchen of our student boarding house, each of us contributed our unique expertise—whether it was insights from physical fitness, up-to-date nutritional knowledge, or culinary creativity—allowing us to gradually perfect diet meals that defied the stereotype of bland diet food.
